LakewoodAlive Safety
West End Security Initiative
In 2008, LakewoodAlive/LCPI worked with Ward 1 Council Representative Kevin Butler and West End bar owners to provide additional police patrol activity in the area on weekend nights in the summer. Coordinating with the off-duty officers and the business owners, we played an essential administrative role in the process. Based on the significantly reduced number of complaints from residents in the area, the program was considered a success.
Recognizing security issues as a community priority, LakewoodAlive is prepared to offer similar services to other districts as appropriate.
