We need to eliminate poles, wires, signs and garabage can and etc. into a manditory streetscape that is easy to maintain and is adaptable to various uses through out the year. We should plan for the needs of Lakewood 2030 not Lakewood 2009. The thing that pops into my head is that it should be wired for wifi and it's successors... Reusable, seasonal and event specific banners that will decorate the downtown area. I doubt that visitors are having trouble finding major locations and a kiosk directing people to Geiger's, Melt, Blockbuster or First Federal seems inappropriate.
